Catering Essential Business Information
Regular Office hours are 8:00 am through 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Saturday hours vary according to our event schedule.
Messages left after hours will be returned as soon as possible the next business day.
Silber Spoons Catering is closed: Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Final guest count on full service staffed events is due 5 days prior to the event. Once given, count may not be decreased. Guest count may be increased up to the evening before the event if necessary.
For drop off events, unless other arrangements have been previously arranged, payment is due upon delivery. Invoicing with net 10 day terms is available to our corporate clients. For weddings, a $200 deposit will secure the date, final guest count is due 7 days prior to the event, full balance of payment is due 5 days prior to the event.
Counts may be increased up to the day before the event, but not decreased in the 5 days prior to the event. Credit card payments on large events may incur an additional 1.5% charge. Payment options include: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Checks, Cash, Authentic Steve McQueen signed memorabilia, and precious gems.
Once we've prepared a preliminary proposal with menu and other details, a $250.00 deposit will secure the date and pricing for what is on the proposal. Menu changes, additions, or rental charges may constitute price changes as event progresses. In the event of cancellation more than 90 days in advance, 50% of deposit will be refunded. If we are able to re-book the date, remainder of deposit will be refunded. Balance of wedding invoice is due 5 days prior to event.
Orders over $200, delivery is free within the Kansas City area. For orders under $200, or to outlying areas, delivery charges are determined by zip code. We pride ourselves on never being late, but may deliver up to 45 minutes prior to the requested delivery time for Standard Delivery. For $25 additional, our Pinpoint Delivery Service guarantees your delivery no more than 10 minutes early.
We do not add gratuities or service charges of any kind. Tipping is never expected and is at the complete discretion of the client. Tips can be added to the invoice at the client's request, but again, are neither expected or implied.
Although we appreciate 24 hours advance notice, Silber Spoons Catering will accommodate last minute orders if at all possible. With our desire to always offer the freshest products, please understand that not all menu options are available on rush orders. All orders placed will be confirmed. We will confirm either by phone or e-mail 1 day before.
The success of any event is largely due to adequate, quality staffing. Your caterer should be able to provide you with a staff you'd be happy to have in your home. Our cordial, professional service staff are efficient without being intrusive, and many of our regular clients request their favorite servers again and again. Staffing requirements are as follows:

Labor charges with a 4 hour minimum charge are as follows:
